The objective of the symposium was to stimulate research and contribute to the formation and solution of new problems encountered by scientists and engineers working in this field. The symposium covered a range of communication topics from a practical as well as theoretical point of view. Furthermore a visit to the Endesa PLC network in Zaragoza and an interesting exhibition was organized in parallel with the technical sessions with many outstanding lectures on market solutions and trends. Advanced Digital Design had a stand in the exhibition area where they showed their new product "Power Line Communication Evaluation Kit for the ADD1000 IP"

A hundred people from eighteen countries attended to the 8th International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications (ISPLC2004). People from five continents came with great ideas and about all with desire to share their knowledge.
